Mark Sherry and David Forbes, two stalwarts of the Scottish dance scene, have had careers spanning an impressive 25 years.

As individual artists, they have made significant contributions to electronic music, and now, they have combined their talents to form the dynamic duo known as Thick As Thieves. This collaborative project sees them delving into energetic, dark, mischievous, and rave-inspired hard techno, bringing a fresh yet nostalgic sound to the modern dance music scene.

Thick As Thieves kicked off their journey with their debut release Any Time, an industrial techno track that immediately grabbed attention. The track featured utterly gut-wrenching sub-bass, fiercely attacking stabs and synths, and instantly recognizable vocal that delivered an underground dance floor destroyer. This track marked the beginning of an exciting new pseudonym and promised much more to come.

Following their debut, Thick As Thieves returned with their second release Jack To The Sound, another dark techno beast that was nothing short of absolute fire. This track underscored their deep-rooted connection to the rave sound that has been in their blood since the 90s.

As the project continued to gain steam, Sherry and Forbes released, Collide, which became their biggest creation to date. Featuring a chilling yet uplifting melody that created a unique atmosphere before unleashing a full-firing acidic techno explosion.

One of their most notable moments came with their remix of Three Drives On A Vinyl's iconic classic Greece 3000. This remix, which was debuted by Armin van Buuren during his A State Of Trance 950 warm-up set, featured heavy kick drums and piercing beats that supported the swirling melodies of the original, setting dance music aficionados up for an exhilarating ride.

Their next EP paid homage to the early 90s with two tracks that captured the essence of that era. This double drop of rave-influenced acidic filth, including the tracks Brain Control and Stronger, evoked memories of industrial warehouses filled with lasers, smoke, and hedonistic, sweaty, mask-wearing ravers. Thick As Thieves captured the essence of these legendary times while bringing a modern twist to their sound.

Thick As Thieves continues to be a driving force in the techno circuit, consistently delivering high-energy tracks that resonate with both long-time fans and new listeners. Their ability to blend nostalgic rave elements with contemporary hard techno makes them a unique and influential presence in the dance music world. With each release, Mark Sherry and David Forbes reaffirm their status as true legends of the scene, continually pushing the boundaries and setting new standards for the genre.
